A client is enrolled in your wellness plan
At enrollment, a one-time Setup Fee — 15% of their annual commitment — is added to their first payment. This fee funds the guarantee entirely. It is charged to your client, not to you.
Example: A $50/month plan = $600 annual commitment. Setup Fee = $90. Client's first payment: $140. Every subsequent payment: $50.
Everything runs normally
The client pays monthly. Billing is automatic. You receive deposits as usual. baxtr sends automated reminders for any failed payments and attempts recovery before the guarantee is ever needed.
If a client defaults, MPG™ activates
If payment recovery fails, the Monthly Payment Guarantee kicks in automatically. Your clinic continues receiving those monthly payments through the first year — fully funded by the setup fee already collected. You don't file a claim. You don't call anyone. It just happens.

Is MPG™ required, or optional?
Optional. You can run baxtr wellness plans without MPG™ enabled. But most practices turn it on — because the cost to them is zero and the peace of mind is real.
Does the Setup Fee put clients off?
In practice, rarely. When it's explained simply — "there's a one-time enrollment fee that helps us guarantee your plan" — most clients accept it without hesitation. It's less than two months of a typical plan.
What counts as a "default"?
A default is triggered when a client's payment fails and baxtr's automated recovery process is unable to collect after multiple attempts. The guarantee then activates automatically — no action required from your clinic.
What happens after the first year?
The guarantee covers the first 12 months of a client's plan. After that, baxtr's automated billing and reminders continue to handle payment recovery. We'll share data on default rates as our platform matures.
